A dozen years after major reforms that shored up Oklahoma’s public pension systems, lawmakers successfully overrode a veto by Gov. Kevin Stitt of a bill boosting the retirement benefits of police officers nearing retirement. The bill would push down the funding levels of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
